SUSTAINABLE BACKPACKS FOR EVERYDAY LIFE AND TRAVEL

Everyone needs a good and reliable backpack. Whether it's for a hike, school and work, or leisure use, it doesn't matter. A backpack should not be compromised.

Due to our time's increasing focus on the environment and sustainability, there are more and more sustainable backpacks on the market to choose from.

In this blog post, we have put together a list of 5 sustainable backpack brands.

But first let's look at what actually makes a backpack sustainable.

What is a sustainable backpack?

We can easily agree that sustainability is important and that we should buy products from companies that take care of the environment. Unfortunately, climate change and other effects of human activities are starting to show up around the world. Therefore, it is important that we as consumers make more environmentally friendly choices when we can, such as buying a sustainable rucksack. But what exactly makes a backpack sustainable?

Normal backpacks are typically made of polyester, which is an oil-based plastic. This substance is very polluting and unfortunately also emits large amounts of CO2 and microplastics, which is harmful to our environment.

Sustainable backpacks, on the other hand, typically use recycled or natural materials instead of polyester. This could, for example, be sustainable materials, such as recycled plastic bottles. Materials such as these have a significantly smaller impact on the environment and at the same time tend to make the products more durable in the long run.

5 Sustainable Backpack Brands

  1. KIWEE

KIWEE designs and manufactures sustainable designer bags and backpacks that support free movement and life on the go. Among other things, KIWEE uses the material rPET, which is a substance extracted from recycled bottles and plastic material (recycled polyethylene). The material is extremely wear-resistant and therefore lasts a long time. The durable material also means that you can walk around every day with a clear conscience that you have done something good for nature. The bags from KIWEE also have a nice and stylish design.
